CWN - Lebanese Christian and Muslim leaders, including the Maronite Catholic patriarch, gathered for a summit on March 30 and warned that political wrangling that has delayed the election of the president threatens Lebanon’s future.
Lamenting the condition of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, the religious leaders also warned that the nation’s ability to host refugees is limited and that if the refugees stay permanently, the nation risks becoming destabilized.
The religious leaders also condemned the persecution of Christians in the region.
